At age five, 1954, "The Bishop" (Card. Stritch) stood over me and said, "Stop babbling about what Father Horne did to you." It took me 40 years to talk about it again. Now, I babble. - ke

Where is accused pedophile Msgr. Loomis? On staff at upscale LA parish, while his files are in a big empty banker box. Watch video now at CAN-4

*****
"Before (Loomis) became a priest, he taught at Pater Noster High school where he was known as Brother Beckett (and) routinely molested children," reads the original complaint from Case #BC307934 in Clergy Cases 2007. Today Msgr. Richard Loomis is listed as pastor of Saints Felicitas and Perpetua Church in San Marino, CA.

Watch video at http://cityofangels4.blogspot.com/ of Joelle Casteix with other survivors in front of Our Lady of the Angels Thursday afternoon with a big empty file box, and a lot of questions.

Video can also be watched on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcjM83sPhcA

They agreed in July 2007, that files on perpetrator priests would be released, it was in the settlement when more than 500 plaintiffs settled lawsuits with the LA Archdiocese. Now not only are the files in limbo, but some accused priests from the 500 settled cases still serve in LA parishes.

Activists were in front of the cathedral downtown Thursday saying stop continuing to fight us over the files and stop putting the perpetrators' victims.

Comments that accuse the plaintiffs, who are brutal sex crime victims, of making up stories for a "payday" will not see light of day here.

Hah! I knew it. You're biased and you have no interest in facts. Your blog is a fraud and of no consequence as long as you orchestrate a desired outcome instead of letting the chips fall where they may. Like I said, I graduated from Pater Noster. Brother Beckett didn't molest anybody. I went into law enforcement and am now retired from that profession as well. My success in life is in large part due to the solid foundation instilled in me at Pater Noster by teachers such as Brother Beckett. I am now a self employed private investigator specializing in criminal defense. I have gotten word to Brother Beckett that if he needs an expert defense investigator, I'll handle it at no charge. This entire fiasco has greed and payday for the lame and lazy written all over it.

You are so right. It is better to let your raging mania reactionary hate filled message shine through. By the way, TWO people got settlements last year after the judge and church attorneys vetter they cases thoroughly with pedophile rape charges against - Loomis/Becket. Have fun helping him, keep your kids supervised.

The only thing I hate is greedy liars and criminals. Obviously, you are naive about settlements. They mean nothing other than to get rid of a nuisance. I did keep my kids supervised and they both went to Catholic schools. They're both successful adults and we raised them to move forward as opposed to whining about the past. I guess there are those who just can't get it done on their own merits. Brother Beckett is still pastor at an outstanding parish. That speaks for itself as to what people think about any settlements. What you and others of your hysterical ilk fail time and again to understand is that anybody can say anything accusing others of sexual misconduct. The damage is done with the accusation; never mind the outcome. It's a feeding frenzy predicated on the almighty dollar for those who have failed in life. I've investigated hundreds of these cases on both sides of the fence; prosecution and defense. Some are true while others are not. The unbiased and objective person knows how to ascertain the difference.

Loomis can pour out his case of innocence to me and I will post it. Why don't you arrange for Loomis to let me interview him?

I'll talk to him about it. Don't hold your breath, though. He may very well think no matter how honest and articulate he is with you, he still won't get a fair shake. That aside, I've been reading through your blog and I do have a respect for those who hang in there and are unconventional. I bet you'd be shocked to know that I had a huge crush on this girl I went to Catholic school with back in the 60's. She moved into a Topanga Canyon commune after high school. But I still saw her and even though people there looked at my short clean cut hair, they never said anything. I was already a young officer. I still get a kick out of that years later. I don't think LAPD would've approved though. They looked at me a little funny when they found out I hung out at Griffith Park on Sundays as a teenager. That's where all the girls and bands were. I'm sure you remember, being a Hollywood girl.
